Mercedes Digital Light, tehnologie inovatoare pentru faruri

În viitorul apropiat, Mercedes va începe echiparea modelelor sale cu o tehnologie de iluminare inovatoare, care va amplifica siguranţa condusului pe timp de noapte şi va contribui la protecţia pietonilor.

Farurile vor fi capabile să ofere o vizibilitate superioară şi să comunice cu şoferul sau cu pietonii: vor putea să proiecteze pe asfalt semne de circulaţie, trecere de pietoni, indicaţii de navigaţie sau linii luminoase atunci când marcajele drumului lipsesc. Tehnologia permite identificarea pietonilor şi a bicicliştilor şi nu va proiecta lumina în zona capului,evitând orbirea.

Chip-ul care controlează farul lucrează cu peste un milion de micro-oglinzi şi primeşte informaţii despre mediul şi condiţiile de drum de la senzorii vehiculului, camere şi radar. Acesta controlează în timp real strălucirea fiecărui pixel şi distribuţia luminii, optimizând vizibilitatea permanent, fără a deranja ceilalţi participanţi la trafic.

In engen Baustellendurchfahrten beispielsweise wird der Fahrer gezielt per Lichtschiene geführt.
